Link to 3/10/2022 Presentation Slides
Colliers recommended this option as the best of the four options considered so far for the following reasons:
- Educational and Strategic Alignment
- Learning environments in alignment with strategic plan
- Equality - All grade 3-5 students go to Frenchtown
- Site may allow construction of new school while existing school is in use
- Minimizes disruption of operations and educational offerings
- Once complete students would move to new school to allow major renovations at another school
- Cost
- Eligible for THREE bonuses and may allow the district to pursue a fourth (+15-17% additional reimbursement)
- Can pursue energy bonus (2-4%)
- New construction eligible for Furnitures, Fixtures, and Equipment
- Newer and Fewer
